In Irish history and mythology the High Kings of Ireland ruled for over 2000 years. The High kings were traditionally ‘made’ on the hill of Tara which is itself an ancient Neolithic ceremonial and burial site. The inauguration of a king according to legend and history was an impressive ceremony and involved the new king standing on the inauguration stone at Tara called Lia Fail. In considering my own resonance with my ancestry it’s very easy to link to Ireland and thus the focus of my expression. The ancestral DNA signature of a fingerprint. The connection to people who have gone before. A standing stone circle, stone cairns and ancient stone petroglyphs. Imagine a great gathering with celebrations and games spanning several days. Feasting, singing and dancing following the king making ceremony with the ring being a pivotal part of the proceedings having been passed down from king to king. Not for sale. Commissions taken.
