Kay van Dyk is a contemporary jeweller interested in the essence of materials and how they can convey and impart ideas. She has taught community jewellery courses in Whakatū for over 20 years and taught on the Bachelor of Arts and Media at NMIT/Te Pukenga.
Her current work with jewellers Katie Pascoe and Joel Whitwell, collectively known as Project 21, sees them working collaboratively towards a common goal to make surrealist mixed media necklaces.
Kay co-project manages Nelson Jewellery Week for Arts Council Nelson.
